Frostpunk is a game about the survival of a society that raises the question of what people are ready to go when they stand on the very edge of survival. In the world there was an apocalypse, the world began to freeze - crops destroyed, livestock dies, people can no longer withstand such negative temperatures. In order to survive, steam engines have been developed that work on coal, thanks to them, the temperature in the immediate vicinity is not critically low. You have to manage the town in such a steam engine. Under your control there will be residents, infrastructure, laws. Only you decide how long the working day will last, how many people will get food, what to do with the sick and the bodies of the deceased... In the game you will find a lot of different situations that will put the moral basis of people - the ones that were considered to be a civilized society - a big question. But all these morals were taken before the cataclysm, is it worth sticking to them now, or are they clearly out of date and worth thinking only about the survival of the species? Often the question is worth mentioning - on one side of the balance is the rationality of using resources, but on another humanity and compassion. There will come a time when it will be necessary to explore the outside world and understand what is happening there now. What will be your decisions that people will survive? Can anyone survive under your rule at all? Who will make the hard decisions?
