In the game Endless Space 2 there are different races and each of them has its own propensities for certain tactics. For example, it is not very reasonable for militarists to study technology and build colonies, they better capture alien planets. The story of the game takes place in a galaxy that was colonized by the known as Infinite, their sunrise and sunset were an eternity ago. They just left ancient ruins, powerful artifacts and a substance called dust and used as a currency in space.
